It has just come to my attention that a Solar Storm is about to hit us in 2012.Some say that 22-9-2012 is the end of the world.Armaggedon,Apocolypse,Judgement,Doomsday,Death whatever you may want to call it.Is it really true?Scientists have proven that in 2006,the Sun was at a stage -Solar Minimum - which signals the absence of sunspots which result in low solar activity. However,it is said that when 2012 August the 22nd arrives, the Sun will reach another stage -Solar Maximum - thus there are the most sunspots and there is high solar activity. The solar activity would result in the electrical system failing, the loss of usage of hand phones, the damaging of electrical producers which may take 12 months to repair and damaging of satalittes.
Is this all going to end in 2012?What are your views?
Forgive me if I am wrong but the date of the Solar Storm seems to be from August 22nd to December 21st.(edited)

Incident-The Rojak food poisoning
Last Monday,a 57-year -old woman died due to food poisoning.Others who have patronised the Rojak Stall at Stall No. 320 at Geylang Serai Temporary Market are also found to have food poisoning,a total of more than 100.The Ministry of Health has closed down the shop and advised the public to discard any food items brought from the Rojak Geylang Serai stall. How could this have happened? The stall has been operating for over 20 years and no such incident has ever occurred. Is it possibly another virus outbreak?
However, that is not my main point. This post is to discuss about the stallholders and their attitudes when in business.Yesterday after I came back from my 3rd Language lessons,I tuned in to the radio 95.8 FM.They were holding a discussion session about this incident then.A quote from a man ,translated into English,"...the shopkeepers may only think about gaining profits, not caring much about the consumers."Though it would not be probable that this happened in this case,I would like to discuss about this topic as it has sparked my curiosity.
Do the shopkeepers put the consumers well being before their own personal gains?
Is this an act of selfishness?
My personal opinion:
These shopkeepers should definitely put the well being of the consumers before their gains as it is their responsibility to ensure that the consumers would enjoy their food and that their food is safe to be consumed. It would be selfish for them to use low-quality or expired food as it does no good to customers. In this case, the Rojak stall was also renowned and famous as its Rojak was delicious. All the more should these shopkeepers ensure the safety of their food.
What are your opinions?

What is utopia?
Utopia is where life is perfect in every single aspect.Utopia is also spoken by many to convince but it is never shown.
My vision of a utopia would consist of these aspects:happiness, the absence of monetary uses, free supplies,stress-free,no wars.
Why Happiness? Because it is a joy to be happy.
Why the absence of monetary uses? Because there would be no more problems in trade and everybody would not be given a status based on his/her monthly income.
Why Free supplies? Because the people would then never ever have to toil to their death just to feed themselves.
Why stress-free? Stress has been something that has "haunted" everybody in the modern day life.Even though small amounts of stress can motivate you to try harder, being overly stressed is bad for our health.
Why no wars? There would then be no more conflict and there would finally be world peace.
However, all these are impossible in modern day life so i shall stop dreaming
